A wedding invitation from an acquaintance reads, " A wedding gift of cash or a gift from enclosed brochure?

It's tacky to include this in the invitation. All registry information should be disclosed on a couple's website or if you were to call them and ask where they are registered. I don't think this is greedy or selfish just letting you know what their registry is in a not so cly way. If you don't want to get them a gift that's fine too, just get them a card. We had several friends who couldn't afford gifts and came to our wedding and gave us a card and that's it. It's the thought that counts, not the gifts. Hope this helps.
