Do baby chicks play like other animals do, when they are young?

Kittens play with one another, tossing , sneaking up and pouncing, puppies do likewise, and also chew at each other. most mammals play, but I have noticed two rooster peepers square off and fight, and they are not from that blood-line. Young hens will adapt a pecking order.
