Do many Religious people have a theory of consciousness that is not completely private and personal?

While I don't totally agree, I'm more on the side of the religious dude. I believe our minds are connected, and we can unconsciously effect the physical. I don't believe that separation really exists. Einstein said that separation was "an optical delusion of our consciousness". He believed that we were each part of a whole and I share that belief.
